lyrics

The Dark Tower poem by John Snethen

If I could show to you
The Dark Tower wherein lies my own
A wreath of gypsy moths and skull eyes round
the tomb of no hope for tomorrow

Though I would crack and shatter
this morbid shadow of emotion
This morbid shadow littered with emptiness
yet no room for love
The edges would be sharp enough
to cut my flesh to the blood that flows

And rivers of it would rain down
and soak the ground
where I soon to lie sleeping would fall
